My wife and I were looking to find the proper reverse osmosis system for our two homes, but...
I am not on city water
Well water and surface water face special challenges and require extra attention and regular testing for hardness and bacteria. Water is an excellent natural solvent and it almost dissolves many undesirable and potentially harmful elements it comes in contact with such as minerals, bacteria, pollutants, and agricultural waste<
To address all of the above motioned issues, Nimbus will set up a free in-home session to fully test your water and suggest necessary equipment to eliminate all your water problems throughout your entire home.
Common Concerns with Private Well Water
Hard water is caused by dissolved minerals such as calcium and magnesium. These elements form scaling in piping and appliances such as water heaters, and dishwashers causing expensive repairs. Hard water also increases soap consumption, starches your laundry, leave a scratchy feeling after bathing, and leaves spots on glasses and dishes.
Private well water is especially vulnerable to contamination by bacteria, viruses and agricultural waste and requires safeguarding against them.
Taste and Odor
Taste problems in well water come from presence of metals such as iron, copper, manganese, or zinc. The tastes and odors may be produced in the water treatment plant, in the distribution system, and /or in the plumbing of consumers. Tastes and odors can be caused by mineral contaminants in the water. Decaying vegetation is probably the most common cause for taste and odor in surface water supplies. In treated water supplies chlorine can react with organics and cause taste and odor problems.
